Privacy policy
Effective date: 7 November 2026
This policy explains how Typebit Technologies LLP (“we”, “us”) handles information when a merchant installs and uses Orlina (also listed as “Orlina 3D Ring Builder”), an app for stores on Shopify (the “App”). It also covers shoppers who use the App’s ring builder in a merchant’s online store.
The short version
•
We store only what the App needs to work for your shop: your shop’s address and the access token Shopify gives the App.
•
Your rates, options and styles are saved in your own Shopify store, not on our servers.
•
We don’t collect shoppers’ names, email addresses, phone numbers or addresses.
•
We don’t sell data, and we don’t use it for advertising.
•
When you uninstall, we delete your shop’s data from our servers.
Information we collect from merchants
When you install the App, Shopify gives it an access token so it can work with your store. We store:
•
your shop’s myshopify.com address, and
•
the access token, its permissions and its expiry.
We use them only to run the App for your shop. We don’t store the names or email addresses of your staff.
The App saves your rates, options, styles and the App’s settings as app data in your Shopify store, where your storefront and checkout read them. That data stays in your store under Shopify’s terms.
Order information
The App’s Ring orders page reads your orders from the last 60 days through Shopify’s API, so it can show ring orders and build spec sheets. It reads order numbers, dates, the ring line items and their properties, quantities and amounts paid.
It doesn’t request customers’ names, email addresses, phone numbers or postal addresses. The order information is read when you open the page and is not stored on our servers. Spec sheets are created in your browser.
Shoppers
The ring builder runs in the shopper’s browser on the merchant’s store. It sends the chosen ring to the merchant’s Shopify cart and checkout as line item details: diamond, setting, metal, ring size and the ring’s configuration.
The App doesn’t set cookies, doesn’t use local storage, and doesn’t track shoppers. The builder’s files load from Shopify’s servers.
Shoppers’ orders are handled by the merchant and Shopify under their own privacy policies.
Billing
Shopify bills the App’s subscription. We don’t receive or store your payment details.
How we use information
We use the information above only to:

provide and support the App,
•
keep it secure, and
•
meet our legal obligations.
We don’t sell it, share it for advertising, or use it to build profiles.
Service providers
We use these providers to run the App:
•
Shopify Inc.: the platform the App runs on, including app billing.
•
Railway Corp.: hosting for the App’s server and database, in the United States.
They process information only to provide their services to us.
International transfers
Our hosting is in the United States. Where data protection law requires it, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses.
Retention and deletion
We keep your shop’s information while the App is installed.
•
When you uninstall, we delete it from our servers, usually within minutes.
•
Shopify’s data deletion requests are also honoured, including shop deletion 48 hours after uninstall, and customer data requests and deletions.
The App stores no customer data, so customer requests need no further action from us.
Security
•
Data in transit is encrypted with HTTPS.
•
Access tokens are kept on our server and are never sent to browsers.
•
Access to our systems is limited to the people who run the App.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or move your information, and to object to or restrict how it’s used.
•
Merchants: email us to make a request.
•
Shoppers: please contact the store you bought from, which controls your order information. We’ll help them respond.
You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
Children
The App is for businesses and isn’t directed at children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the effective date above. If the changes are significant, we’ll tell merchants in the App or by email.
