Setup guide
Set up Orlina
Most stores are live in about ten minutes. You’ll need a Shopify store with an Online Store 2.0 theme.
Step 1
Install and choose your plan
Install Orlina from the Shopify App Store. Shopify shows the plan page. Start your 14-day free trial.
Step 2
Set your rates and options
In the app, open Pricing and options.
•
Diamond shapes: tick the shapes you offer.
•
Settings: tick each setting you offer and enter its amount.
•
Metals: tick each metal and enter what it adds. Use 0 if it costs the same.
•
Carat bands: each band covers a carat range and adds an amount. Run each band straight into the next, such as 0.74 then 0.75. The bands also set the carat range shoppers can choose.
•
Markup and rounding: an optional markup percentage, and rounding to keep totals tidy (for example to the nearest 10).
Click Save. Rings can’t be sold until rates are saved.
Step 3
Tag your ring products
Add the tag ring-configurator to each ring product. Tagged products can only be bought through the ring builder, at your rates.
Optional: set where each ring starts with tags such as shape:oval, carat:1.25, setting:halo or metal:rose18.
Step 4
Add the ring builder to your product page

In Shopify, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize.

Open a product template.
3.
Add the app block 3D ring builder.
4.
Save.
Notes
•
It lays out side by side when it has at least 900px of width, and step by step in narrower spaces.
•
For the full look, give it a full-width section on its own product template and remove the theme’s standard product information section.
•
Assign that template to your ring products.
Step 5
Match your theme
In the block settings, choose the font and the background, text and accent colors.
Step 6
Create your own styles (optional)
In the app, open Styles, then Create style.
•
Change the prongs, prong thickness, head height, band width and thickness, halo, pavé band, accent stone size and pavé coverage.
•
Watch the 3D preview update.
•
Name it, give it an amount, and save. It appears next to the built-in settings.
Step 7
Place a test order
Build a ring on your product page, add it to the bag and check out with a test payment. The checkout amount matches the product page.
Step 8
Send spec sheets to your jeweler
Open Ring orders to see ring orders from the last 60 days. Click Download spec sheet and print it or save it as a PDF.
If you uninstall
What happens next
Orlina’s checkout pricing switches off and its data is deleted from our servers. The block stays in your theme until you remove it. Move ring products back to a standard product template so shoppers can still buy them.
